Plastic housing, very shallow installation depth but not very bright
Lightweight plastic housing and shallow depth (approx. 0.75 inch) facilitates installation. The light is nowhere near as advertised, although I suspect the plastic couldn't cool anything brighter anyway. I don't think it's well designed and went with the 18w metal version from Mctuning(?) which was significantly brighter. If it's on a kid's toy truck or you need a small mount, okay, it's cheap enough to be worth the price. I wanted it for a boat headlight and didn't feel it was for work. The color is very cool white, almost bluish.
