If I could rate this under one star or minus one star I would! I wanted a nice pool thermometer so I ordered one. I took it out of the box, put the batteries in, put the lid on, filled the bowl with water, put the thermometer in the water - it worked. I threw away the whole package - BIG MISTAKE! The next day I put a thermometer in the pool - it did not work and does not work! Don't waste your money like we do! We tested the batteries to make sure they weren't the problem, but what we ordered is the problem.
