We've just moved and don't have a kitchen table yet, so now I have to eat on the couch. Trying to hold an iPad or a phone at the same time was uninteresting. I looked at many iPad stands before deciding on this one because I thought the design was the best and I think it was the perfect choice! It holds the tablet securely and the material doesn't let it slide around on your lap. The angle is perfect. I didn't realize the sides had different angles until reading other reviews, so I don't think there's that much of a difference. I assumed the grooves would change at an angle, but I always end up using the groove closest to the back because it's the most secure. I carry it with me and use it in different places for my iPad and phone, much more useful than I expected. It's nice to flip up an iPad and watch movies in bed with my partner instead of trying to find an angle on a laptop that we can both see. I'm happy with that. It's pretty unobtrusive. Definitely worth the price! The only downside I can see is that it takes up quite a bit of space and I probably won't be using it to store my iPad on a desk or countertop, but I'm quite happy with using it just about anywhere.
