When we moved I had to leave all the gas tanks I had. I've used oxygen/acetylene with a tiny tip on a lot of jewelry where I wanted to solder the silver but didn't want to heat everything like I would with propane. I was hoping that this would allow me to do this and it is happening. You can use a small amount of propane and suitable oxygen to get a small hot flame. I might want a smaller tip, but I can live with that if I can't find one or get a second one so I can shrink the original. The cost of oxygen is high, but the local gas company charges too much for cylinder rental. Ace hardware sells oxygen cheaper.
