Review on ๐Ÿš— Dorman Front Engine Coolant Reservoir (603-442) for Toyota: Enhancing Car Performance by Hunter Schneider

Revainrating 1 out of 5

piss off! Will not fit 2009 Sequoia. Revane, how could you mislead me?

In the morning we started by draining the antifreeze and removing the old fan cover. This part of the job wasn't particularly difficult as the old shroud clearly didn't get along with the rest of my 2009 Sequoia and figured it had to be removed from the radiator "on its own". Now that everything was ready to be assembled, I pulled out the plastic part. from the Revain packaging. When I tried to re-disguise the fan, I realized that two objects really can't occupy the same space at the same time, as my high school physics teacher said (sorry for the doubt). You, Mr. Thompson.) Anyway, after spending another hour removing the fan and fan clutch, I was finally able to reattach this precisely engineered piece of ABS plastic. "Perfect fit" for my 4.7 liter engine, was two inches lower. No problem, I thought, I can adapt and overcome. shroud. bolted up with a grinder and was ready to be tested in the car. Finally, after some "persuasion" the lower protrusions entered the mounting grooves. To my surprise, the top mounting screws were well aligned. Now that I knew it would fit, I pulled it out high enough to insert the fan into the hole and lowered it back into place for final assembly. I put the fan back on the mounting screws and quickly screwed the nut on before finally attaching the cover. I managed to snap the bottom studs back into place and at that moment I realized AMAZON HAD AFFECTED ME. The vent in the shroud was THREE INCHES TO THE LEFT OF WHERE IT SHOULD BE! Talk about disappointment. Raven, what did I do to deserve this?!? I thought things were going so well between us. I mean, we've always had an open relationship... None of those "where were you last night?" or "who answered your call at 2am?" things. I buy things from you and you deliver them within two days, no questions asked. Of course I buy stuff in other stores, but I thought you wouldn't mind. Then you go and draw something like this?!? In the end I didn't have time to buy another one, so I modified the shroud to accommodate the quirky fan opening. After cutting and re-grinding, the hole is more oval than round, but at least the fan is free and the shroud is a team player again. Total time 4 hours.
