These are excellent, surprisingly heavy plastic disposable plates.They'd be ideal for use at picnics or parties where you want something more substantial than paper plates but don't want to get out the regular dishes or simply lack enough of those.They can even be washed off (NOT in the dishwasher) and re-used, which elevates them highly right there.But to me, they have a major glaring fault: They cannot be used in the microwave. it is in the product listing and on the packaging, albeit in about three point type on the latter.I'm going to experiment to see if this is a genuine issue or just a manufacturer covering their bippy if there's an issue down the line. I suspect hear is the real issue so maybe just warming something up is safe. I'll post an update once I run some tests. Reheating leftover is one of the main reasons to use disposable plates like this so I consider it a major failing.
