I was a little ambivalent when I bought the monitor considering there were many reviews of it being fragile, especially when travelling. Problems with the screen turning off and on was also something I looked out for. When I first got the monitor, I had flicker issues. This was easily remedied with a different HDMI cable. As for the durability of the monitor, I've waited so long to post a review just to make sure I'm covered on that area. I keep the monitor in the supplied neoprene sleeve in the padded compartment of my laptop bag (although my laptop has a 17.3" screen, so a monitor of this size will fit). I've been driving my Tacoma pickup cross country for the last 3 weeks. I packed my laptop in both the cab and the back of the truck (well set up, of course). So far the monitor has worked without any problems. It works as advertised for me and is a performance multiplier when I need to plug in my laptop for work in a hotel room. I am happy with my purchase.
