We only had it during the day so can't comment on durability but my little camper is delighted with this headlamp - even wore it to bed. That's a big sign of approval from a kid who can't take anything tight on their head! The novelty factor clearly outweighs any (felt) discomfort. The light is very bright. She likes the features - the owl is quite large, but not heavy and bulky. The sound of an owl is annoying, but on the other hand the child likes it. As such, it also has a head strap to keep it secure while walking. Thumbs up from us!
