I'm not sure for working out but for under my dress it will work great there kinda compressing and that helps with tummy control I would have liked them to go slightly higher. But I have work them for 2 days and washed and dried them and the uhh stay the same. So I recommend! and if you don't like them so tight size up I am u.s.16/18 and I got 2xl. Lol h and there not sheer at all. Good quality material.
