This pack is perfect for a day at the amusement park. It's lightweight, has comfortable sturdy straps, plenty of space inside the big pocket. Those characteristics are similar to free promotional drawstring backpacks that I've used in the past, but this bag has a number of extras:1. Twin water bottle pockets (left and right) that I've been able to fit up to 1L bottles in.2. Small zippered pocket that is perfect for keeping any meds you may need at the ready so you don't have to fish for them (I use mine to hold an asthma inhaler - great not to have to hunt for that among things in a single large pocket.3. Another larger zippered pocket that is great for organizing smaller things like backup batteries, ear buds, cables, etc.4. It's very water resistant. Unlike the free bags I've had before this bag actually repels water for a much longer time so things inside stay dry in light - moderate rain.5. Well constructed seems that look as if they'll hold up to repeated use (I've only had it for about a month, so I can't objectively speak to it's longevity).Long story short, I would recommend this for when you need a bag to hold random stuff at an amusement park, walking a boardwalk or sightseeing on a day trip. Smaller and lighter than a traditional backpack, but sturdier than your typical drawstring pack.
