My son in law gave me one of these for Christmas three years ago. I really love it. The one advertised here seems to be a little different, and I hope they've addressed the issue I've come across. There's a rubber cover on the back that must be pried off to access the i/o and charging port and is secured by three stout rubber rings integral to the cover. When charging the unit, the tension of the cover against the mini usb plug and cord will eventually compromise the connection. Jiggling the cord will get the charging light to come back on for a while, but ultimately the unit will notify you of a low battery. I've snipped off the cover, but it's a little late. Anyhow, the reason I'm here is to buy another one. Just be aware- good unit, one minor flaw.Update: 4/15/21- Second unit failed quicker than the first. Understand that I'm not banging the unit around or anything, it's stationary and pretty much plugged in all the time. Tried three different new cables, it's just a bad port. So I got a big can of flex seal, slathered it up and now the grandkids can dive for it at the bottom of the pool. Don't buy this, you'll be sorry.
