Review on Step2 Side Around 2-Seater Toddler Ride-On by Mario Newton

Not suitable for older children

We were really looking forward to it and to be honest I'm immediately disappointed. The photos are misleading and show older children and much larger children riding together. I personally don't see how this is possible. We have a little three year old who is about 29 pounds and 10 months. My 10 month old is 99% weight but obviously fits in perfectly. My daughter, on the other hand, has trouble getting in and out of the car when another person or our second daughter is in the car. I have no idea how big older kids will be using it. By my kids age we will keep it as my girls LOVE it. We originally paid 150 as we got when it was first released and I think that's too much. The price on the main day is to buy it again (for kids my age and size). Drives well, wheels are quiet. Overall my kids love it and we use it often. The structure was typical for a Step2 car. The only caveat is that our dome was slightly bent out of the box, which caused an issue when reassembling as it wasn't aligned properly. Assemble this FIRST, if we did we would put everything back in the box, save us a headache and my kids the fuss and order a replacement.

Pros
  • Wide, comfortable handle and swiveling front wheels for easy handling.
Cons
  • Lots of things
