I use this with a Samsung tablet. The tablet is a 10 inch tablet and is in a case so it might be on the heavy end of what this holder needs to support. I don't know because I don't have a scale to weigh it. This stand is said to be able to handle many positions, which is pretty cool. The configuration I used the first time didn't work the second time. The stand failed to hold the tablet in this position on the second try. I was able to find another position that works for me and so far it has continued to work well, but I had to pull one of the connections every time I use it. I'm not sure how long this will work, which worries me because the stand isn't cheap. But so far it works perfectly.
