Review on 🖨️ ELEGOO Monochrome 3D Printer 7.55x4.72x7.87-inch with Enhanced Printing Precision by Jose Schweigert

It's taken me a while to write a review. I don't usually write them, but this time I felt I had to. On my first printer, one of the tank screws was loosened either during assembly or shipping and would not come loose. After trying to really unscrew the screw, it cut off. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I contacted Elegoo immediately and they informed me that I needed to work with the seller. I emailed the seller with a picture of the screw and they informed me they would send a replacement printer immediately. The new one came a few days later. I was very pleased. Of course, it would be better not to break at all, but things like this happen and it's how companies deal with these outliers that matters. That's what prompted me to write a review. As for the printer? That's incredible. Coming from the FDM world, this thing blew my mind. Almost no adjustment. Bed leveling takes 1 minute and is the only calibration required. I had a test print within 30 minutes of opening the box. No fiddling with settings, no stepper motor settings. Incredibly high quality print straight from the gate. I immediately printed a replica of the props and it was a hit too. Obviously the trick here is that you have to be safe with the resin, but that's not too bad with a few YouTube videos and some common sense. The only downside of MSLA for FDM is post-processing. it's a bit troublesome. It's actually not that bad. And after rinsing and curing, the grinding or pouring required to emboss the resin is much easier than FDM. For cosplay and model building, I would say it's easier and less cumbersome than FDM. I'm definitely not giving up my FDM printers as they are fun to tinker with, but MSLA will certainly take on my cosplay and prop printing workloads.
