Despite the bad reviews, I decided to try it anyway. I should have trusted the negative reviews. This item SUCK! It looks premium, ie in a nice metal case, but it just doesn't work. I had several problems with this. At first the USB selector seemed to work. The video didn't work at all. I need to show a screen once or twice, but not always. I was never able to get the laptop installed. Sometimes the video worked, sometimes it never worked. Overall, video only worked 5% of the time. Besides, I haven't done anything crazy. Just a new 27 inch 1920 x 1080 monitor via DisplayPort. Also, it eventually got to the point where KVM would get stuck on a certain choice when trying to switch computers, and no matter how many times you tried to press the button, it wouldn't stop. Switch computers Bottom line, I couldn't get any consistent behavior from this device. DO NOT BUY!
