This is a pretty solid laptop stand. I think it would be helpful to add non-stick pads to the base and the bottom "lip" that holds the laptop. The depth of the lip is only about an inch, which seems flat to me. I use a laptop stand in its most upright position and my laptop almost slides off if I move it slightly. A little non-slip pad (like the kind you might use in cupboards) could probably fix this to some extent. I love the ventilation cut into the main body of the stand and wish they could apply it everywhere for extra ventilation!
