The back of my cargo pants are torn.

Ripped buttocks on cargo pants. The 1st patch took root well and stayed in place until the pants were washed. I thought maybe I'm not ironing properly so I went ahead and ironed the 2nd patch with more care. Same results. The second patch fell off after washing. Now on the third try (this time I used more than one patch). Let's see what happens after washing.
