I was hoping to see the back and sides of my hair. Only with this lighted vanity mirror could I see the sides. When I mounted a mirror directly behind me AND positioned the triple lighted mirror at an angle, I was able to see the back of my hair as well. The only criticism is the auto-off function. I'd rather leave it low for "mood lighting". I also had to put some cloth on the floor to avoid scratching the surface of the vanity when I move it to different positions. It's very easy to move around and when I'm not using it I just slide it back as far as possible and center it on the vanity. The color on the plastic is quite nice giving it the look of painted wood! I wish the cable somehow came out the side to push it back about an inch. Overall I am very happy with this purchase!
