If your washing machine is vibrating and "wandering" then this is the product you should get. We were skeptical at first, but it really works. The washing machine is MUCH quieter and doesn't move a few inches with each load. The hard part is the installation. Keep in mind that we are seniors and the installation required my husband to tilt the machine while I grabbed the washing machine's leg pads with a gripper. Once we figured out the rear pads, the front ones were pretty basic. Therefore only 2 stars for the installation. If you are young this should not be a problem. We looked around (online) at Lowe's and they had a similar product for twice the price. I don't like overpaying for things. Not sure if the product description or review mentioned that the pads raise the car about 2 inches. I had about 1.5 inches. If that appeals to you, that's no problem. A set prevents your washing machine from vibrating. We ordered a second set to raise the dryer. My freezer is also in the laundry room and I use the top of the machine as a stepping stone when I need to get something out of the bottom of the freezer. The baskets I use work best on a flat surface. But since I use the top of the washer and dryer for other things, the slight difference in height isn't an issue. This does not affect the ability of the pads to stop the washing machine. We should have done this many years ago!
