Turns out it was actually my heating element that was broken, but I replaced these parts while I was in there too. And my dryer is still working, so I guess these parts work.

Part number 8577274 thermistor was no good as received . I tested it out of the package and it had no continuity. The other parts (which of course I didn't need) were good. This is going back and I don't recommend buying from them. ZERO stars if there was such a rating.

Poor quality. Normally buy original parts. But tried this for convenience. Lasted one day and thermal fuse blew. Vent and dryer had been cleaned prior to this install. Purchased OEM Whirlpool parts for $49. took a couple more days, but they are working perfectly fine now.

I mainly needed it for part 8577274 which I installed but the part failed after 10 minutes in the dryer. After much time and frustration spent trouble shooting, I finally went to local store, purchased the genuine Whirlpool part 8577274, installed it, and now dryer works perfect. $15 vs $50 was too good to be true for me. Maybe just my bad luck because i definitely received a defective part.
