I love my Birkenstock clogs. I have arthritis in my left foot, so my podiatrist advised me to always wear Birkenstocks in any style, even at home. He explained that most shoes are flexible and the bones in my foot just flex, causing them to rub against each other. Same thing happens when I walk barefoot. Berks gives me a lot of support and I'm rarely in pain. I no longer use a stick. or waddle, slow down my family and friends. I usually have to buy wide shoes, but the Birkenstock medium size is just right. My only problem with them is that I have to buy a new pair every year. The cork outsole wears off at the back. Of course, as these are literally the only shoes I wear year-round, I can't complain!
