I can't test how well they disinfect your toothbrush. What I do know for sure is that I like to carry it on my toothbrush to protect it from germs and anything else that might be swimming around in the bathroom. They are easy to put on and take off which is a big plus. Sometimes water from your toothbrush can get on the inside of the disc and create a green coating on the toothbrush handle or bristles. Looks weird, but harmless as far as I can tell. It rinses off easily, and if you taste a little in your mouth, it tastes like a refreshing herb.
