Very glad we bought this camera, especially for "happy shots". ;-) We've always loved turning the camera around and taking photos of ourselves, and it's difficult to find EXACTLY THE RIGHT position - not anymore! Now we can see exactly what the photo will look like. You press the button on top to activate the front screen and the camera is a bit slower when the front screen is activated, so we don't have it active unless we use that function. It's easy to use but has great features and takes great pictures. There's a "Smart Auto" setting, and there are also more detailed "Scene" settings for different situations. We like to play with the settings to see what works best for the situation we're in. Excellent zoom for "long close-ups" but not at night. The flash doesn't work very far so it's best to take distant photos at night without a flash as it makes better use of the light than REALLY is there - if you use the flash at night things will appear farther away. darker than they really are. We are very happy with the camera and would definitely recommend it. It was SLIGHTLY more expensive than the others, but the windscreen is worth it. :-) Oh, and you can also set a timer to take a photo with a delay if you're doing it remotely, and you can still activate the front screen so you can instantly see who's moving or going side must, or stop wearing "bunny ears" on someone else's head ;-)
