UPDATE: The seller quickly got in touch and offered a replacement. Thank you! The new drone shows no problems and flies very well. Responsive and the tricks are easy to perform. The battery compartment is difficult to open and the tiny screws are easy to remove unless you press down while turning. Not a problem for an adult but can be a problem for a child or someone with weak hands. We think this is a great mini drone for training and easy to use. If you have something to do between charges, this is the best choice to have a few minutes of fun. I love that it comes with spare parts and a mini screwdriver! I bought it for my son as a gift for athletic achievements. We had to wait for a nice sunny windless day to go outside. When he flew it for the first time, he had a lot of fun. We loaded it up and took it outside for a second run. He put it on the ground and we were talking when suddenly it took off and began to fly erratically. He kept trying to use the controller to bring it back, but he didn't respond. In the end it climbed quite high and started moving east. We tried to follow him, but in the end we lost sight of him. After several long searches we gave up. The drone had a mind of its own that day, causing it to get lost. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this drone due to the unstable behavior.
