Review on Calvin Klein Womens Regular Bralette Women's Clothing for Lingerie, Sleep & Lounge by Michelle Watson

08/2019 EDIT: I wrote my first review on this about two years ago and decided to update and rephrase everything to make more sense SIZE I am currently a size 34C . 1/2 third love bra. I wear a medium size in these bralettes. Since they only come in S/M/L etc, that's not quite what I want. When I first put it on, the elastic fitted perfectly - snug but not too tight, but the cupped part of the bra is a bit small. I have tried larger ones and the cups on these bras are much more comfortable but the elastic is too loose. The worst thing about these bras is how they stretch. As the day progresses, the band loosens significantly, which of course means that the bra has even less support. CK probably doesn't expect you to wear them for 12 hours as a casual bra. So if you only wear it as a casual bra I'm sure you won't mind too much. In addition, throughout the life of the bra, they become looser and retain their elasticity even shorter. I'm not sure how much it affects the dryer but I've stopped doing this on my new ones and as far as I can tell they are retaining their elasticity and shape. Bottom line: Always wear this bra for about a full day before deciding if it's the right size. I have 34C and the medium is a little tight at first and then gradually gets a little looser. The size is acceptable at first, then gradually becomes too loose. AUTHENTICITY When I first bought this dress, I bought it on Calvin Klein's website at the same time. In the beginning, Revain and CK were very different. I felt the Revain was too big, especially the straps, and the CK was spot on. I'm not sure what happened, but after wearing both for a long time I can't tell the difference. Something that happens with these bras, which I'll talk about later, is that they stretch. With the Revain, I felt like the straps were stretched a lot more than the CK, or maybe they just weren't done right. I'm still not sure. My theory on these bras is that some or most of them are just slightly defective CK bras that they don't want to sell in their stores. Of course, there can be other explanations, but given the differences I saw in the two bras, it makes sense to me. Some of the differences I first noticed weren't really all that different, like the stitching and seams were dirty. The only real difference that still confuses me is that the printed label was placed differently on the back. Bottom Line: Having ordered a few and worn them for over a year, I can safely say that they are exactly the same (at least for the most part) as Calvin Klein bras. QUALITY They are rather disappointing. As I mentioned, they probably aren't meant to be worn 12 hours a day, which is what I do with them, so bear that in mind. The ones I bought two years ago aren't even wearable anymore. I couldn't wear them after just a year. Over time, the elastic band around the waistband dissolves and stretches so much that it no longer stays in shape on the body and therefore no longer offers any support. I've been trying to keep them out of the dryer lately, suspecting it will ruin them, but I'm not sure. I always cut off the labels, so of course I no longer remember the care instructions. Be sure to check them before washing. Also, be careful when removing the labels. They are completely removed so that not a single piece of the label is left to scratch you, but you have to be very careful with the threads that hold them. One of my Revain orders had a hole where the tag was, although I'm pretty sure I didn't cut anything wrong. This may be my fault, or maybe the threads were sewn on incorrectly. Verdict: Expect them to last about a year with regular wear. Note: While I'm wearing them, they always disappear. on sale through Black Friday and prices fluctuate regularly for each size and colour. If the one you're looking at is a bit pricey, wait a week or two, or just a Black Friday sale.
