Pleasant deep sound. Slightly better than my FJ stash which was already deep as a stash. It definitely doesn't rumble like a rice rocket. But it has an average rumble. Louder at low revs. And it hums when I'm at 45-50 mph. At this speed on the freeway, you hardly notice it. Fits my FJ exactly. In the store, they cut off the stock with a saw and welded it exactly in the place of the old one. I originally bought muffler couplers for $12 each. waste of money. It costs $80 to weld my shop. I heard 60 is a more realistic price.
