I use them because I cook a lot and almost every recipe needs salt and pepper at some point. It's a waste of time to take salt and pepper shakers and shake them for a while or twist the lids to grind them. All you have to do with it is reach for those containers and take a pinch. Finding the right amount and distribution the way you envision it seems easier to do. A pinch is actually quite a bit if you want, and one is usually enough, so seasoning only takes a few seconds. There are four containers and I use them for other common ingredients like sugar and chili flakes, but every home is different. Highly recommended if you cook a lot.
