I really like this mouse, but I also almost returned it after the first charge because it has a weird feature that isn't intuitive at all. After charging, the mouse behaved like a dead one. I turned it on, it just flashed red for a second, then went off again and didn't work. I looked at the reviews to see if it was worth replacing with the same model, but I saw a lot of people had the same issue. So I ordered a new mouse, unplugged it from the computer, and put the receiver back into the slot on the bottom of the dead mouse. I'm not even sure why I've worried since he was dead other than not wanting to lose him. AND THE SECOND THAT I PLUGGED IN THE RECEIVER, THE COLORS RETURNED AND HE WAKE UP AGAIN. Now it works perfectly again. Apparently it is necessary to reset something in the receiver after loading. A bit annoying, especially when other mice like this don't need it, so it's easy to think it's broken. But now everything is fine. Oh and one more thing I've seen in some other reviews so add as a warning if this is a deal breaker for anyone - the colors don't really appear like the picture. The image shows all the colors at once, but they actually scroll from one to the next one at a time, so it's usually 2 colors at a time. It's very beautiful, but never a real rainbow.
