I'm trying to build an old mountain bike and I'm looking for cheap tires. I bought and installed one of these tires (to see if they are good). Appears to be well made, seems suitable for the street or very everyday trails but not safe for heavy terrain. I went ahead and bought a second tire. In terms of weight, the tire is marked 208 lbs on the side. I did a little research, 60% of the rider's weight is on the rear wheel, the rest on the front wheel. I weigh 195 + 33 for the bike, 228 total. Self divided by 2 (50/50) = 114. Since I don't think a single tire can support a full 228 pounds, I think it should be fine. In terms of handling, they ride smoothly and can't wait to try them out on the track.
