It is not necessary to have the same green floor size. Just use lightbulbs!
Works! If you're giving bad stars because the little green piece still doesn't fit, don't worry. All you have to do is take out the bulb and insert it into its green part, which is already on your tree. Or just buy replacements that are just bulbs. I had about 50 burned out lightbulbs. I replaced them all before it came back on. Be patient, reuse the green bases that came with your strand and make sure to replace them all.
