The designer obviously does not prepare school lunches for the child

So, to be honest, I read all the reviews on this product before buying it and I knew exactly what I was buying, understood the disadvantages and bought it anyway because it really was the only option that met my criteria. I bought these because my son's new funky preschool needs a single compartment lunch box instead of multiple individual compartments, which of course I already had in abundance. I was determined to buy something that wasn't plastic, and lunch bots really are the only option available. I have both the duo model and the 5 hole model, Cinco? The problem is that the dividers aren't welded all over the bottom, corners, and sides, which allows liquid (juice from sliced strawberries and other fruit, applesauce, yogurt, cottage cheese, leftover lasagna, you know the BASIC BASICS of a toddler lunch box ) seep into the compartment with dry foods (sandwiches, crackers, etc.), rendering them raw and inedible. Because of the design, this liquid cross-contamination will occur no matter how level you hold the lunch box and how careful you are not to knock it over. It makes absolutely no sense that the compartments aren't completely sealed. This completely limits the uses of this product and I have to come up with annoying and stupid ways to try to keep liquids in it like using mason jar lids and other stupid things. I've read that others use reusable cupcake liners (they have these and PLASTIC don't) leaving the system imperfect. Anyway, making dinner for my kid is literally the worst part of my week. I hate it so much and this product doesn't make it any easier. It is also difficult to hand wash the fifth compartment because the holes are small and it is difficult to insert a sponge.
