Review on Aprilaire Dehumidifier Spaces Basements Commercial Heating, Cooling & Air Quality by Amber Allen

I had very high humidity levels in my underground and wanted to install a dehumidifier and do a few other things as well. I researched several sources to find out which dehumidifier would be the best. I chose the Aprilaire E80. Aprilaire's online videos were very helpful and I also consulted with Aprilaire for the right model. Installing the device was not difficult. The most difficult part was driving the device into the basement. I used rigid PVC drain pipe for my sump. The flexible hose attachment will not work very well. It's been running for about a month now. The humidity underground dropped from 74° to 47°. The ground is now very dry. The device is very quiet. I lowered the star rating because of the price as I felt it was a bit pricey! But it works just as well as I had hoped. Time will tell about the durability. I didn't buy the remote control.
