High quality, suitable for dehumidifiers

This unit is used for the basement. After seeing several home fires caused by cheap foreign junk, I started looking for a safer alternative. Very well done.

Works great for heating, cooling, and air quality

Judges: Heating, cooling and air quality

I have had many problems in the past where Aprilair was losing refrigerant and was always junk right after the warranty expired. The E-Series is designed to eliminate technical issues at the expense of customers, and the E-Series is said to have a lifespan of 10-12 years. Just take a look.

Finally an American Made Dehumidifier

I'd had enough of foreign made units failing after 12-18 months so I bought this unit. It's definitely made differently. It's not attractive because it's a high-performance environmental control device, much like an oven. I think it will still take a while. It has reduced the humidity to 50% and maintains it without any problems. And very quiet.

  • Good for Many

Works perfectly! in heating, cooling and air quality

I had very high humidity levels in my underground and wanted to install a dehumidifier and do a few other things as well. I researched several sources to find out which dehumidifier would be the best. I chose the Aprilaire E80. Aprilaire's online videos were very helpful and I also consulted with Aprilaire for the right model. Installing the device was not difficult. The most difficult part was driving the device into the basement. I used rigid PVC drain pipe for my sump. The flexible hose…

Draws a lot of water out of the air!

It seems to be drawing a lot of water! The humidity was around 65% and it was running for about an hour when I shot the video. I understand that I need to connect the hose. That's one thing that can't be done. It's pretty quiet too. At least it's quieter than the previous ones I've had. Cons: No hose included. It costs about $1 per foot at a hardware store. Anyone who has ever attached zippers for transport obviously has no idea what they do. It was around some kind of sticky substance that…
