Review on πŸ‘“ Optx 20/20 Stick-On Bifocals, Plus 1.75 by Megan Marshall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not as good as real reading glasses but they work and match my Oakley sunglasses.

Some reviews said they didn't stick well but mine have been taped to Oakley Flak Jacket sunglasses for a month now with no signs of falling including full ocean immersion, lots of sweating and brushing , etc. Warning: I'm a pilot and very picky about my eyesight. I wear bifocals when I fly, but I wanted all-around sunglasses for everyday use. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on bifocals, let alone varifocals, so I bought single vision lenses. I wanted Oakley lenses for their larger lens size and sun protection, but that meant I couldn't look over or under the lenses to read as easily as I could with my smaller prescription sunglasses. So I put $16 on these self-adhesive lenses and I'm happy with them. I watched an online video of a guy showing him how to put them on and following the instructions I had no problems. I cut my lentils to less than half their original size and placed them deep inside my lenses. Not very easy to cut as they are made of fairly strong but flexible plastic. I used a utility knife with a new blade trying not to cut my finger and while the end result isn't professional, my sunglasses don't show the bifocals from the outside. When I play golf, I can read the score card, my cell phone, etc. much better than without them. The optical quality isn't as good as reading glasses, but for the price they work quite well. The reason I mentioned that I have Oakley sunglasses is because several people have said they can't hold these stick-on bifocals on Oakley lenses, which are more curved than regular sunglasses. After advice from around the web, including some of these reviews, I'm happy with them.

Pros
  • Flexible and self-adhesive
Cons
  • Not sure
