Review on 🐾 Atlas Two-Door Pet Carrier: Easy Assembly with Secure Side-Clip Construction – No Tedious Nut & Bolt Assembly by Donna Tran

Door locks are bulky

I am a veterinary technician and have seen and worked with many types of carriers. Top locks and front door locks are NOT easy to use. Most often there is a spring pack for the front door, sometimes for other luggage racks. It has neither and is difficult to open and close securely with the TABS used. If I hadn't waited so long to assemble it (and thrown away the shipping materials) I would have sent it back without hesitation. I won't use it or even donate it because I'm concerned that someone unfamiliar with it could end up with a lost cat trying to protect it. The rest of the stretcher seems to be well made and the size/texture is okay. If the lids were improved this would be a good product. But if you can't be sure your pet won't come loose or that someone else tries to close it, doesn't get it right, it's not worth it. The owner is not always present to instruct the veterinary staff on how to close this carrier and they should not guess. It wasn't a cheap airline but I think I should take a loss.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
