I bought this for a 14 year old girl because the stuff you carry around at school is ridiculous - and there are no lockers! It doesn't fit all the things that the school has to carry around from the students in a traditional backpack. All of them ended up going bankrupt. After a long search for a robust and spacious device at a reasonable price, I decided on this one. I was very satisfied - my granddaughter not so much. She seems to think he's too big; however, it doesn't suit her. The fact that she can now take a comb, deodorant and a few other small items (like a water bottle!) with her is definitely an advantage for her! She also likes the different compartments, which make it easier for her to keep things tidy. She adjusts to the perceived size, but I think that's because she's a lot roomier than the others she's had. So is he tall? Yes, that's why I bought it. Is it too big for an average height teenage girl? I don't think so and I would tell her if it seemed too big for her. Had she filled it to the brim, it would certainly have looked bigger. However, one could easily use this bag on weekends without running out of space.
