I am an exceptionally fast hiker/jogger. They won't last long as they were never intended for sharp rocks and bushes. However, at 70 I prefer cushioning, light weight, minimal drop and a stable platform. The Kinvara 11 still seems to be the best since the Kinvara 2, having come up short on several models. I don't like the Kinvara 12 (especially the thin tongue) and I sent it back. Considering what I've been through, I'm perfectly happy with the 250 miles. I hope enough people have complained about the K12 that the K13 brings back the same qualities as I haven't found a close second. The earlier zero-drop Lone Peaks were great for hiking, but they lacked my primary attributes.
