Timetec RAM and IMAC errors - fixed with new Timetec storage

Update - 07/22/2020 Timetec has emailed back to my email support request. They offered to replace the RAM for free. It was 9 months old. They provided a free shipping label and I sent the product back. They sent back a free replacement memory in a timely manner. tracking information sent. I easily installed the new Timetec 2 - 16GB memory cards and didn't have to switch slots like I did with the previously supplied RAM. My iMac recognized the new RAM with no problems. I have now installed 40 GB RAM and the system runs perfectly in 24 hours. I still think it's important for people to know that if your computer system keeps crashing after a RAM upgrade, you should check your RAM. I will update again if I notice my system crashes again after a few days or months. I am impressed with Timetec's customer service. They emailed me that they are a small business and do not provide a phone number or take calls. They did everything right to make this purchase the right one. I will buy from them again without hesitation. I write to let people know about my experiences. I have raised my overall rating to 5 stars. I won't blame them for the initial bad memory as I understand this can happen with any product. Thanks Timetec :)======================Original Review - 7/2020 Last year I got 2 sticks of Timetec 16GB memory and was able to get 27 inches. The IMAC 2017 5K 3.8Hz display will work after configuring the memory slots. I had to move the memory cards along with the Apple installed storage and it seemed to work when inserted into slots 2 and 3. My system had 40GB of memory. But then my IMAC started crashing. I can't remember how long it took before the system crashed. It could have been days or weeks. Black screen and reboot. Very annoying. I blamed the Apple IMAC product. I have not linked this to Timetec RAM. We only used our Windows PCs and other laptops for essential things in case the IMAC should fail. For months we have been seeing IMAC crashes on a daily basis. I bought the cleanmymac program and that program also crashed every time it tried to run a RAM check. I contacted cleanmymac and they couldn't figure it out. We had no viruses or malware. After more months of IMAC failure, I was finally ready to throw my IMAC away. I've contacted Apple suppliers for board replacements and hardware maintenance and they all said it was too expensive. As a last resort, I decided to permanently remove the Timetec RAM, and guess what?! The IMAC system works perfectly. I tried calling Timetec to discuss this but they don't have a phone number. I am awaiting their reply via tech support and support email. I agree with others here who had issues with the 2017 IMAC system and I can't believe how much time I wasted trying to fix the IMAC issue. I wish I had thought about clearing that RAM many months ago. Thought I'd post this to help others in case your Apple IMAC starts to freeze or have problems. Consider removing Timetec RAM and see what happens. This can discourage you from throwing away your IMAC. it was for me
