I just got out of the postpartum cave where I let go of my skin you know where! Child is 15 months old and I just turned 38, medium olive skin (middle eastern descent), large pores and a few small blackheads on nose and around cheeks. Uneven skin tone, especially in winter. Not acne, but occasionally acne, especially when a certain product irritates my skin or when my hair touches my cheeks. Irregularity, dullness, and hyperpigmentation (due to some old breakouts along my jawline) are my biggest concerns. Together with the brightening line Andalou! I've only been using this toner for a few days (added it after loving the brightening serum and glycolic pumpkin mask). I use it every other day in combination with Acure's AMAZING Brightening Scrub (everyone should have!) and Athena Beauty & Soul Pro Facial Cleanser every other day and night. I didn't think I realized the toner contained glycolic acid until I checked the box (when it tingled when applied). As I'm trying to even out my skin tone, this amount works great in combination with the Glycolic Pumpkin Mask (which I will be using 1-2 times a week). They really have a great toner balance because it doesn't dry AT ALL. On the contrary, toner alone is enough to bring back some of the moisture lost when you wash your face. This leaves my skin soft and smooth and ready for the serum. I've never been a multi-step person, mostly because my skin is very sensitive and so many products put me off! I'm happy to report that the above facial cleanser or scrub has caused no adverse reactions, and NO problems at all with this toner and Andalou Brightening Serum! It's around my nose and in every specific problem spot I want to target. But the atomizer is really high quality and delivers a nice, even, diffused spray (concentrated up close) so that's not a problem. The only other vitamin C products I tried a few years ago were Avalon Organics. and I found them sticky and smelling strange. Also, they broke me, so that's it! So glad I tried Vitamin C again and very happy with the Andalou line. The ONLY product I haven't liked in this line so far is the BB cream. I need to find something else with SPF as the toner (and mask) contain glycolic acid. But it's just good skin practice anyway. In just about a week my skin tone is definitely more even, softer and smoother! Even if it doesn't fix the dark spots around my jaw line they will go away on their own and what really matters is that the products I use don't cause NEW ones and also even out my skin tone overall. . So far, so good! Edited to add: So I've been using this and the products listed above for a few weeks now. I had a few little pimples here and there, but none of them got big and ugly. Some just faded before settling in, and better yet, these products seriously blocked the build-up of hyperpigmentation that I've always suffered from from even the smallest blemish or scratch! Now the spots are healing and afterwards my skin looks normal! This was unexpected and makes these products even more amazing! In general, the skin has become much cleaner and smoother! What a find!
