A customer service representative told me that the trailer only fits bikes with a wheel size of 26 and smaller - all larger

WARNING! I was having trouble attaching the trailer to my bike's hitch, so I called customer service. During the conversation, the support representative informed me that the trailer was only suitable for bikes with a wheel size of 26 or smaller - anything larger than that puts the trailer at risk of tipping over when turning. She has always emphasized that. The bike I wanted to put a trailer on was a 27 1/4 - too big for the safety requirements of the trailer. I have not seen this information in any of the materials that came with the trailer or anywhere else online so BEWARE. The company obviously knows that this product is dangerous for certain bike sizes, which is why they had complaints. I ended up going to the local big department store to buy a cheap mountain bike specifically for this trailer, wiping out any savings I had made from ordering this cheap trailer. While I am very happy with the trailer (quick to assemble, easy to attach to bike, folds into a small trunk, seems well designed, my toddler is comfortable in it), I am appalled at the thought I am having could unknowingly put my child at risk - a risk the company seems well aware of. This information must be clearly stated in the technical specifications of this product and in the materials (instructions, etc.) supplied with the trailer.
