This balance bike is at the cheaper end of the quality spectrum, all plastic. The bike is lightweight, just what you would expect from a kids balance bike. The seat is not very well padded. So far our son at 12 months and 16 months doesn't seem interested in riding this bike. We will continue to encourage its use as we have read that it really helps them learn to ride a bike quickly. I'm not sure I would have ordered this particular model at such a young age had I had such an opportunity and done some additional research beforehand.
