I've been a Samsung customer all my life, I have their fridge with monitor, tv, washing machine etc. This is the first time I've left a bad review, especially at a company I value and respect. That's because I'm a firm believer in an honest effort to "fix a bug." In this particular case, I bought the monitor around February 18th, plus or minus a week for shipping. This was my first monitor that I bought. The new one I know sounds like an idiot but I loved it, especially with the curved monitor. The monitor has arrived however, a sharp looking monitor, lightweight, amazing apart from the fact that the supporting leg cannot be removed from the back of the monitor. It's VESA compliant, but the expectation of what the back of the monitor will look like (against the wall or facing away) might put you off this monitor. It didn't bother me that much, I realized I still believe in Samsung products, but not in this case. After hooking up my monitors, I was in workstation heaven when, after a few months of ownership, I noticed a black dot in the center of my monitor. I have to say I'm not gaming, this monitor is for a job where I'm working on a computer 8-12 hours 5-6 days a week as a pharmaceutical clinical monitoring manager. If the question wasn't in the middle, I might not notice it, but in the middle of my monitor, where I work with Excel spreadsheets all day, it can be expensive to confuse a black character with a decimal point. I referred the issue to Samsung who has always had great customer service, tried to help me the first time but then slammed the door in my face and said the monitor was backed by a 3 year warranty covered but if a pixel dies it takes 5 years to fix the problem pixels below and if I choose to ship the monitor it is only sent back as is because it has not had the required number of dead pixels reached. Fully . useless and unacceptable what samsung customer service showed me that day is that they do not believe in the quality of their work and are not responsible for it which in turn allows one of the millions of loyal consumers to live with their faulty product and to looking into Elsewhere is another competing electronics company that continues to treat its customers with respect and hospitality. In general, I pray my situation is an accident, but watch out for the burnt pixels. Where Samsung failed, Revain once again delivered excellent customer service and helped me resolve the issue. Thanks Revin
