Review on Silky Smooth Skin with Cleancult Bar Soap: Sustainable Coconut Based 🥥 Soap Bars for Cleansing, Hydrating, and Refreshing - Grapefruit Basil, 6 Pack by Dean Locke

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lightly scented, very cleansing, but a little drying

I enjoy using soaps made from natural ingredients, so when I got Cleancult’s coconut oil soap, I was delighted with the lemongrass aroma.I tried it when washing my face and in a hot shower – it lathered well and cleansed my skin very well without leaving that harsh alkaline feeling on the skin. I attribute it to natural coconut oil in the soap. The lemongrass scent was moderate when I took the bar out of the paper wrapper, but it was fairly subtle once the bar got wet and lathered up. The scent doesn’t linger on your skin.I have used some other organic soaps and unlike them this cleans better after a hard workout. I have started using it to clean my face also with this soap bar and it gets rid of the sweat. The soap is definitely on the drying side, and I would recommend it for humid summer months, but it won’t be my first choice for dry winter months. The price point seems a little high given the relatively plain packaging and quality of the soap, but price is subjective and it is marketed as made out of natural ingredients. Each bar is fairly large, and seems like it will last a while.

Pros
  • Soaps
Cons
  • The soap may not be as effective at soothing sunburn as other soaps
