As long as you don't take a nap with one of these (like mine - the lint gets on the glue) you can use them multiple times. There was one that I took off and wore 7 or 8 times before throwing it away. Thicker than I expected but easy to get used to. A favorite piece is a small embossed filigree that acts as a stopper for the end of the needle. No slipping, no problems with it. I use one on my middle finger paired with a leather thimble on my thumb (the thimble also fits in the included tin can with room for other small items). There is no other way to cross stitch.
