Although I wear a quilt thimble, I can't use a longer needle. I love English Paper Piecing and use Sharp - almost twice as long as Between - so I can't wear a thimble. I wanted some extra protection for my finger when sewing my English paper piecing pieces but didn't want a thimble as it gets in the way. Found this and thimbles. I chose them and am very happy with them. It's a bit of textured rubber that can really take the sting of the needle end pushing the needle through and not slip over the texture. I used the same one, put it back on a pretty tin between uses and had no problem with it sticking to my finger again. I've been using it for a week now…
