There are so many things I like about this dress. It is very comfortable and the slits do allow for comfort in the summer. The pockets are actually functional and somewhat concealed. The ruffle at the front is cute and makes a bra unnecessary, which is a huge plus for me in the summer. It does hang nicely off the shoulder, although I did find it necessary to adjust it here and there. The fabric is very soft, comfortable, and good quality. It does well in the washer and hangs to dry with no evidence of wear.Downsides: it runs large. When I first put it on, I was not sure at all if I was going to keep it and it kind of swallowed my body like a big tent. I'm somewhat small (5'5, 120lbs, 34B), but I don't think it would work at all for someone who was a true petite size. I found it was also slightly longer than I would prefer, which makes it pretty much necessary to wear a heeled shoe with it. It also has a more fancy look to it than I expected. When I wore it for lunch, I had several people compliment it but then ask why I was so dressed up. It's not really appropriate for a casual work setting for this reason, which I was hoping to use it for here and there.
