I'm a big fan of both wireless charging and Apple's old magnetic charging cables. When they announced they were bringing back the MagSafe brand as a magnetically attached wireless charger, I was naturally very interested. However, the $40 cost of an Apple-branded charger put me off from really experimenting with the technology. Until I heard that ZeroLemon was launching its own MagSafe charger for half the price Apple was charging. So I immediately ordered one, and after using it for a few days with my iPhone 12 Mini, I can say with absolute certainty that ZeroLemon delivers on all of Apple's MagSafe promises. The first thing that struck me upon unboxing was how good the entire felt product is. The loading puck is very well designed and doesn't look anything like a non-Apple product. This is a big plus in my book because it assures me that I will be using it for years to come. I also like the length of the cord that comes with ZeroLemon. Because MagSafe is designed to be used while connected to a phone, it's important to have a cable long enough to reach the charging case. It doesn't have to be on the table or bedside table all the time. Loading speed and performance seem solid. To my knowledge, iOS is still pretty secret about how fast a device charges, so there's no real indication of how fast a device is. However, not once did it feel slow when I used it, and the battery percentage also increased noticeably during use, leading me to believe that it works in at least one of the fast charge states. I want Apple to talk a little more about this so users can understand how their devices work. But given what we have to work with, I'm happy with what I'm getting from this charger. All in all, this is an extremely impressive device. It's everything I've come to expect from Apple's MagSafe chargers, but at half the price. I will definitely be using this for a long time.
