Failed to load media. I had the opportunity to try both this consumer thermal imager and the more advanced professional version. This camera is best for people who want a "good enough" solution that can detect window drafts and other macro-level temperature changes. Contractors and others who need more precision and detail should check out the Pro version of the camera. You can see some of these differences in the attached video. My biggest criticism of these devices is the short battery life. It runs for 45 minutes to an hour before needing to be recharged. The positive side of this is that your phone's battery is not used for operation. But I think the short battery life of such a tool would be disappointing. I like that the plug fits into larger cases thanks to the dial on the top of the device. It's pretty much plug and play, and the app is simple enough to get you started very quickly.
