Review on FANGOR Projector Supported Bluetooth Smartphone by Tim Knoepfle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent projector excellent quality good price

I bought this projector based on good reviews and bluetooth capability. I've had projectors in the past that required special cables and if the cable was damaged it was difficult to find a replacement so wireless/bluetooth functionality was important. Pros: The projector comes with multi-continental compatible power cords - finding compatible power cords/converters is really easy for someone who has lived in Europe and the US. The instruction manual was simple and it didn't take long to assemble. The picture quality is excellent. I bought this projector with the intention of showing Backyard Nights on the big screen and a projector with a built in speaker was essential. So far I've only used the projector indoors. The speaker volume is quite loud inside, but I'll try to update my review after trying it out on the road for movie night to see if it's loud enough or if an additional speaker needs to be purchased. Cons: I have an iPhone 11 with the latest version of iOS, but airplay with most apps doesn't work with the projector. This is not due to the projector, but to apps/iOS. Screen mirroring works well with the regular phone screen and TikTok, but when you try to use airplay with Netflix, Crunchyroll, or other streaming apps, the video doesn't play, just audio. Again, I believe it's either the apps themselves or iOS since wireless screen mirroring works with pretty much everything else. The projector has a USB port where you can connect your phone directly with a regular charging cable. When connected, your phone will automatically display its screen and you can use this method to play Netflix, Crunchyroll, and any other app that doesn't work via airplay. Simple workaround but then your phone must remain open in this app or it will stop playing. On a positive note, as long as your phone is connected via the charging cable and the projector is on, the phone will also be charging so you don't have to worry about your battery draining while streaming a movie.**** *** ***** ************Additional Information - The projector is small and compact, easy to pack and carry with you for any use. The projector must be connected to AC power at all times for operation - it will not charge without an AC adapter. The projector is quite heavy for its size, so be sure to follow the supplied manual when installing the projector. The bracket is not included with the projector. The projector can be used with many other devices besides phones (I only used it with my phone as that's what I use most with streaming services alongside my TV) but can be used with computers/laptops/Xbox/Playstation - yes , an HDMI port or even a flash drive or external hard drive via a USB port. There's also an AV video connection, which the manual says can be used to connect to a DVD player, but requires a 3-in-1 AV cable, which doesn't come with the projector. While this projector offers multiple streaming/connection options, it's still worth it.

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
