I've had a Sizzix magnetic platform for years and just bought another one as the price was right. This platform holds the dies in place when used in Big Shot with cutting inserts. This platform will not work with small die cutting machines (e.g. Cuttlebug) - I think it is 6 inches wide. A few tips: The cutting inserts need to be flatter so the platform can hold the die. New Style Inserts work better than the original inserts as they have a slightly beveled edge so they don't flex as much as they used to. That minor issue aside, this is a great tool and value.
